American Mink with a Short-Spined Sea Scorpion on the Argyll coastline; she would take this fish to her den, seemingly for some hungry cubs. As the name might suggest, these mustelids are an invasive species here in Scotland; their presence is the result of a mass release from fur farms by animal rights activists in the 50s and 60s. While very cute, and well integrated into the Scottish countryside, they are one of the major causes of water vole decline, a species already in danger.
